Dr. Macy Vaughn is the daughter of Dexter Vaughn and Marisol Vera. She is the eldest sister of the Vera-Vaughn-Danso Charmed Ones, meaning that it was her duty to protect innocents and vanquish evil. This made her the older maternal half-sister of Melanie Vera, the older sister of Margarita Vera and Michaela Danso. Macy was also the girlfriend of Harry Greenwood but they married in season 3 now she is his wife, and the ex-girlfriend of the late Julian Shea and the late Galvin Burdette. She was the lab supervisor in Hilltowne University's Department of Genetics before forcefully being moved to Seattle, Washington, and left in hiding. Having been separated from her sisters for most of her life, Macy was still learning where she fit within the Vera family and what it meant to be a part of a sisterhood.
Death of her sister, Maggie
In 2021, Macy regained her demonic powers, however, soon after, the Whispering Evil wanting to get a new host tried to take over someone's body however Macy did not know who he tried to take. Harry told Macy that Maggie went alone to the Cave of Ancients to take a sample of Bioluminescent Lichen. Macy got worried and called Maggie however she did not pick up and Macy started to panic while Harry calmed her down then Macy called Mel and told her that Maggie went all alone to the Cave. Macy told Harry they have to orb there and ensure Maggie is alright. Harry told Macy that he couldn't orb and Macy started to panic even more about her little sister. At the same time, Maggie thought it was an easy task, but unfortunately, there was the Whispering Evil there. He attacked her and tried to possess her since he could no longer live without a host. Maggie thought back to her trip to the future where her future self was possessed and fought against his control long enough to ingest the toxin into herself to vanquish the monster once and for all. Though she was successful, Maggie's body began to fail and she barely made it to the Command Center, where the shocked Harry Greenwood and her sister Macy Vaughn found her.
Maggie's sisters and Harry believed that the cause of her deep fainting was the toxin she had taken. While Harry went to Celeste to become a Whitelighter again, Mel Vera and Macy Vaughn used a spell to prolong their sister's life. The Charmed Ones went on a series of adventures trying to keep Maggie alive. They went from a carousel ride to singing, relaxing in a field, and dancing. However, they were pursued by the Guardian, who eventually cancelled the spell and threw the sisters out of Maggie's dream world. By then, Harry had returned and healed Maggie of the effects of the lichen. Although Maggie woke up, she did not feel better and explained that due to the Whispering Evil's death in her body, her cells were irreparably damaged. Her sisters and Harry did not want to put up with this tragic circumstance, but after a long farewell, they all had to accept the unavoidable.
Mel and Macy brought the moribund Maggie to the Guardian where her soul separated from her body and ascended, assumably entering the afterlife.
